a whole bunch of gazan mutual aid projects and nonprofits. if the decision of which individual fundraiser to give to feels too daunting, or if you just want to help as many people as possible in one go, these are great initiatives to support.

  • care for gaza - focuses on providing food and essential supplies. donate here or here.
  • connecting humanity - securing internet access via donations of virtual sim cards (esims). if you can’t afford a whole plan yourself, crips for esims is a communal pool that will use your donation to purchase and maintain esims
  • gaza soup kitchen - provides food, medical care, and classes for children. also has a gofundme
  • glia gaza medical support initiative - provides medical care through field clinics and tents at hospitals. donations can also be sent through their website.

  • life for gaza - raising money for the gaza municipality to repair water and waste management infrastructure
  • taawon - partners with local civil organizations to provide food, water, medical care, shelter, and basic supplies

My family lives in desperate conditions. I present to you a family of more than fifteen children. We live in very difficult circumstances😭🙏🇵🇸🍉🔻

Our children often say: “Stop the war - we are children - we want to live.” But does anyone in the world hear his screams and respond to him? We live in a state of despair. This family has been living for nine months in a small tent no larger than 3 metres. Imagine spending every day, every night, and every moment in such cramped conditions. They need urgent support to rebuild our home and restore a sense of normalcy

Daily update (55)

It is natural for anyone with a human conscience to feel for you and your suffering in Gaza, but no matter how humanitarian he is and how high his level of feeling is, he cannot experience the feeling of a father or mother trying to save their son from the danger of death and not knowing what the way is, since there is no safe place. There is no escape or solution, you will not be able to save yourself..

You and your family members are waiting for your turn to die, as if you were in a group of people, meteors falling on you from the sky. No one knows which of you will die before the other. It is a matter of time and no solution.

You can feel the hungry children, but you cannot feel what they feel, or the feeling of a father and mother who are unable to satisfy their children’s hunger or treat them until they die in front of their helpless eyes.

You are not in their place, and you will not understand what they are suffering until you live their tragedy. Rather, what I mentioned here is considered one of thousands of scenes that represent the thousands of tragedies that the people of Gaza experience on a daily and recurring basis and cannot be narrated by an individual.

Despite this, we sanctify everyone who has a conscience, morals, and humanity in this world, at a time when all meanings of humanity and morals have disappeared for the vast majority, and the real human being in our world has become a stranger.

I’m at number 219 in the Google doc for @el-shab-hussin and @nabulsi

answering a couple questions i got on this post since i realized ppl genuinely wanna know:

tl;dr:

  1. israel lets very, very little aid get into gaza. even the UN can’t get in as much as they want to. funding individual families, gazan led initiatives, and mutual aid collectives operating out of gaza ensures gazans can provide for themselves and pay for the extremely expensive aid that is available.
  2. with all the civil infrastructure destroyed by israel, the situation on the ground has devolved into unrestricted capitalism, driving up the price of aid (that should be free!). this makes it more urgent for people to have funding for daily survival.

the post linked above has examples of how donating to individual families can help a lot. if you want to help more than one family at a time, there are many gazan-led initiatives focusing on rebuilding their infrastructure and distributing aid fairly that are worth donating to instead of large charities that already get the majority of donations.

as i mentioned in the last post: @/careforgaza on twitter is a nonprofit started by gazans, it’s been endorsed by multiple palestinian journalists.

the sameer project is a collective organized by diaspora palestinians offering emergency shelter to gazans.

ele elna elak is a project aiming to bring water, food, shelter, etc. to gazans and has been promoted by bisan owda.

and the municipality of gaza itself is fundraising to rebuild water infrastructure.

all of these organizations are active inside gaza right now and are being run by gazans. if anyone knows of other gazan-led mutual aid projects, nonprofits or charities feel free to link them in the notes! hope this helped!

long answers under the cut!

plugging gaza soup kitchen for those with the means to donate! it’s another gazan-led initiative currently providing food, water, classes for children, and medical care across the north and south. you can donate through their website or their gofundme, or follow them on instagram for news about their projects

okay fresh post. please for the love of god please help my friend mohammed and the 27 family members he’s providing for, their campaign is almost stagnant the last two days. there are no jobs, they have no house, they have slept on the streets and been shot and starved by the iof since last october. it is terrifying to see their gfm slowing like this because they literally have no other options for survival.

verified / draculas art for donors

10 USD = 103 SEK

702,103 / 750,000 SEK, please keep sharing & donating!

stagnating again, please keep sharing & donating

gofundme deleted this family’s campaign and took thousands of dollars away from them. help them start over.

safaa @safaabed8 is a 25 palestinian woman from gaza city, central gaza. along with her husband and two young kids, she fled her home mere moments before it was destroyed by the iof. while living in a tent, she began fundraising for her survival and hopeful evacuation in july of this year.

a few weeks ago, her gofundme was deleted unexpectedly. it is likely that this is because of a crackdown on fundraisers that benefit palestinians. paypal recently announced that they will no longer support fundraisers after january 2025, and former employees have come forward with information about paypal organizing to target and systematically delete palestinian accounts. palestinians using gofundme have long reported similar types of censorship and sabotage by the company.

safaa’s new campaign is being run by @autisticthassarian and has yet to raise $1000. more information here. please donate and share.

vetted by nabulsi here and 90-ghost here.

$710 / $1,000 USD

This is absolutely devastating that these crowdfunding platforms would delete fundraisers for no reason, especially when Safaa and Abed have worked hard to raise funds! So let’s help them out, please! How about we reach 1K ASAP? There is $290 USD left to go!

hi everyone, your donations so far have helped mohammed (verified)

  • keep an internet connection so he can stay in contact with his family in sweden
  • get his family in gaza off the streets after their last displacement
  • keep all 27 of them fed

moving forward, he still needs

  • warm winter clothes, especially for the children, who have outgrown the few things they were able to hold onto through the family’s eight displacements
  • winterproofing for the family’s tents
  • medicine and medical devices (braces, wraps, etc) for his sister, whose bullet wound has been healing very slowly due to the conditions she’s living in
  • enough to cover ongoing daily expenses (food, internet, etc)

these donations get wired in to gaza in batches, so please understand they make a very tangible difference for the iwais family on a day-to-day basis. we’re very lucky that, from all around the world, we can actually help them head off looming emergencies – like the cold weather that’s currently setting in!

donate here; donors can also enter an art print raffle here.

10 USD = 103 SEK

let’s get them to their next goal of 750,000 SEK by the end of next week!

image
image

666,384 / 750,000 SEK

666,625 / 750 SEK, that’s only about $30 USD since last update

666,875 / 750,000 SEK, that’s $20 USD in the last 12 hours

i am not sure what else i can say to convince people this is a family worth donating to. emotional posts don’t work, guilt trips piss people off, long posts don’t even get reblogs. i don’t want to make content about genocide. can someone please just fucking help this family

mohammed iwais (verified) is still the sole provider for his 27 family members, including his siblings and their young kids. his sister is recovering from a quadcopter bullet wound; she’s been able to start walking again, but this is still a very difficult time, especially since medicine is prohibitively expensive in gaza right now. on top of that, the whole family is bracing for the changing weather, which will add to their daily expenses just for survival.

they need roughly 7.3k USD to get to their next goal. remember to check the conversion rates! 10 USD = 103 SEK

donate

next goal is 4.5k USD away!

donations can also be entered into an art raffle for prints of your fav IWTV characters :-)
